I’ve had my height adjustable standing desk for a couple of years now. (I’m currently spending a year in Berlin and miss it terribly.) The one problem I have with my beloved desk is that it’s a bit of a pain the set up or dismantle when moving. You also need a power source and are probably wasting a lot of energy having the adapter plugged in all the time.
When I was shopping for my standing desk I came across the Steelcase Airtouch. The model back then was a bit smaller, but it already had the unique Airtouch® Technology that allows you to smoothly move your desk up and down by hand through a hydraulic lift handle. It’s pure magic and looks great, too.
This latest, larger model is still on the top of my wishlist. At around $1500 it’s definitely not cheap and unfortunately it’s only available through smaller dealers outside the US. Worth considering when fitting out your new office though!
